Divyang Cell

“My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn't prevent you doing well, and don't regret the things it interferes with. Don't be disabled in spirit, as well as physically.” - Stephen Hawking

The Matoshri College of Management and Research Centre's Divyangjan Cell emerged with a primary objective of motivating students and ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities to students with Divyang. At the institutional level, this cell encourages awareness of and accepts diversity as an essential part of humanity. It respects Divyangjan's recognition and develops a feeling of respect. The cell empowers instructors and pupils with the knowledge and the skills to utilize the various resources and appliances expected to cater to Divyangjan's needs. The cell also pays attention to the specific necessities of the pupils.

The Indian Constitution demands an inclusive society and ensures the equality, freedom, justice, and dignity of everyone, including people with disabilities. As such, the governance paradigm's strategy has always been proactive in fulfilling the needs of those in excluded circumstances and giving them equal chances over the board. A prime example is disability, a reason for extra consideration in terms of policy, operation, and oversight

Objectives:

  1. To educate teachers and students about the many requirements of Divyanjan and to raise awareness of them.
  2. To use inclusive methods to improve the educational experience for kids with special needs.
  3. To offer direction and counselling in accordance with their particular needs.
  4. Holding workshops to raise public awareness of Divyangjan's talents in honour of significant days such as World Disability Day.
  5. To inform the students about the various programmes that the federal and state governments occasionally offer.
  6. To help Divyangjan students find jobs and a means of subsistence.
